Service Technician

AGCO-Amity JV, LLC is accepting applications for a results-driven Service Technician to join our tillage and seeding team. The Service Technician will be the point person for company and dealer technical questions, and support of the company’s products. Focusing on the entire Customer’s Use Experience, the Service Technician is a key role to providing a differentiated product support experience for customers and dealers for our seeding and tillage products.

Essential Duties

  • Provides technical product support for dealer network and customers via phone, or in-person.
  • Support dealers on customer field visit individually or with District Manager.
  • Conduct component and equipment discussions with sales and service staff.
  • Ag Dealership experience preferred.
  • Must have good Public Relation skills.
  • Be able to learn how to dis-assemble and re-assemble field tillage/air seeding equipment.
  • Overnight travel required. One to four nights a week out. (Company expense acct).

Skills/Qualification

  • Two plus (2+) years of relevant agricultural equipment experience preferred.
  • Ag Dealership experience preferred.
  • Must have strong welding abilities, cutting torches, etc.
  • Knowledge of Agricultural equipment.
  • Must be self-starter.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Will need to pass medical exam.
  • Will need a medical card to operate company vehicles that company will pay for.
  • Some heavy lifting required, but tools are available to work smart.
  • Knowledge of tractors to operate tillage and air seeding equipment.

Tool/Equipment/Information

  • Computer, printer and other office equipment. Keep computer logs updated on assigned projects.
  • Keep ELD logbook. (Company provides)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Make service calls to AGCO/Amity JV Dealers/Customers to diagnose equipment failures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment in field usage.
  • Leave Dealer/Customer with a satisfied feeling that their problems have been solved and /or corrected.

TRAVEL

Some overnight business travel, including international. Valid driver`s license required. Ability to obtain passport required.

AGCO-Amity JV, LLC is accepting applications for a results-driven Technical Specialist to join our tillage and seeding leadership team. The Technical Specialist will be the point person for company and dealer technical questions, service training, and support of the company’s products. Focusing on the entire Customer’s Use Experience, the Technical Specialist is a key role to providing a differentiated product support experience for customers and dealers on a worldwide basis for our seeding and tillage products.

Essential Duties:

-  Provides technical product support for dealer network and customers via phone, electronic or in-person.
-  Conduct dealer and district sales-related product training
-  Support dealers on customer field visit calls individually or with District Manager
-  Assist District Manager and/or field service with special needs and critical machine operation issues
-  Conduct components and equipment discussions with sales and service staff
-  Assist hosting and conducting open houses with focus on interactions with end-users, directly help retail equipment with dealer personnel, and build dealer-manufacturer credibility
-  Provide AGCO-Amity JV Marketing and Service with information pertaining to new products, product improvements, product enhancements, and future end-user requirements.
-  Support new products post launch for early detection of quality or performance issues.
-  Provides the department with technical guidance on company warranty claims as needed.
-  Creates and communicates with company and dealer service department’s necessary tools and equipment needed to support company machines.
-  Creates and communicates service bulletins and knowledge important to internal and external customers.
-  Develop and maintain knowledge base of solutions to provide easy access for dealers and customers.
-  Works closely with Product Support Manager to schedule service department assistance with both dealer and customer direct issues.
-  Represents our services, parts, and products to prospective customers by supporting trade shows and direct customer visits.
-  Develop and maintain a relationship between key end-user customers, dealer, and company.
-  Understands and ensures adherence to corporate and customer data policies
-  Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the company.

Skills & Qualifications:

-  Associate’s degree in Agriculture, Ag Mechanization, Precision Agriculture, or similar field preferred.
-  Two plus (2+) years of relevant agricultural equipment experience preferred.
-  Ag Dealership experience preferred.
-  Mechanical aptitude and knowledge, such as might be acquired through engineering related studies or experience in maintaining farm or industrial equipment

Other Skills/Abilities:

-  Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
-  Demonstrated ability to identify, research, address, and resolve challenges in a professional manner.
-  Identifies complex problems, conducts root cause analysis and recommends solutions.
-  Significant exposure to farm equipment, such as might be acquired through living on a farm or working with various types of farm equipment
-  Working knowledge of ISO 11783 systems and ability to develop and assist in troubleshooting ISOBUS systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain new products. Includes documentation associated with engineering change orders, bills of material, detailed CAD models and associated component drawings.
  • Create prototypes for testing and customer validation of the product. Travel to field locations to gather data as required.
  • Lead in reviewing vendor capability to support product development and make recommendations on product specifications and component selection.
  • Research new technology or products to recommend and/or introduce modifications and/or advances to current systems, products and methods.
  • Assist in determining manufacturing approach and verification parameters to move products into production.
  • Ensure development of operators and parts manuals to meet customer needs.
  • Additional responsibilities will include current product updates, product structure maintenance, internal and customer product technical support.

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience in the design, prototype build, and test of agricultural equipment.
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with the application of electronics on modern farm machinery, control modules, guidance systems, variable rate seeding and fertilizer application.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis.

Quality Technician

AGCO-Amity JV, LLC is accepting applications for a results-driven Quality Technician to join our production team.  Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Technician is integral to ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent inspections and furnish processes for continuous quality improvements that ultimately lead to increased customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and application of tools to provide recommendations for quality improvements and ensure implementation of corrective action.
  • Track, trend, and analyze data to drive improvements and overall quality performance.
  • Perform internal audits for compliance to company or ISO standards.
  • Ensure production area gages and measuring devices are calibrated and working correctly.
  • Lead 5S efforts and compliance. (incl. continual improvements)
  • Assist production team in collecting and analyzing data for measurement systems analysis.
  • Review and develop work instructions and control plans as needed.
  • Follow all company rules, policies, procedures and requirements especially for Safety, Quality, and Cost.
  • Perform training for specific quality topics as needed.
  • Champion for quality improvement throughout entire operation.

Essential skills

Education (Preferred)

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Proficient at measuring parts to verify conformance to specification, using tools: height gage,  micrometers, calipers, tape/ scale , thread gages, dial indicators, etc.
  • CMM, Faro, Scanning, preferred.

  • Root cause analysis, understanding of application of tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of Wahpeton built type product, and the related processes to the making of parts.

Safety Technician

AGCO-Amity JV, LLC is accepting applications for a results-driven Safety Technician to join our team.  Reporting to the General Manager, the Safety Technician is an integral part of the leadership team.

Job Summary

Responsible for development, maintenance and implementation of Safety Programs, and coordination of Environmental, Worker’s Compensation and Return-to-Work programs with the ultimate goal of reducing injury occurrences and severity for AGCO-Amity JV, LLC and Amity Technology at both the Wahpeton and Fargo locations, respectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and implement workplace safety programs for both Fargo and Wahpeton operations to include: Safety Manual, Ergonomics, PPE, Fire Safety, Severe Weather alerts, etc.
  • Administer First Aid, CPR and AED programs, keeping adequate number of trained volunteers on-hand.
  • Provide technical assistance with OSHA issues.
  • Plan and coordinate safety and accident prevention training and fire/weather alerts.
  • Coordinate Workers Compensation program in conjunction with the Medical Department.
  • Chair the Safety Committee, providing guidance and leadership to maximize impact on operations.
  • Maintain Safety Procedure Manual, updating and writing new procedures when applicable.
  • Be primary contact with OSHA for inspections, questions, etc.
  • Coordinate all Workplace Safety activity with Department Managers.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Department to ensure appropriate recording of work related injuries and illnesses as well as discuss preventative measures.
  • Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions to manufacturing managers and supervision.
  • Conduct audits and provide recommendations for hazard elimination, and ensure implementation of corrective action.
  • Track, trend, and analyze data to drive improvements and overall safety performance to minimize incidents.
  • Perform training for specific safety topics including new employee orientation.
  • Champion for safety improvement throughout entire operation.
  • Attend appropriate seminars, schools, meetings conducted by professional organizations to increase knowledge of regulatory issues and requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Managing compliance with OSHA’s General Industry
  • Managing the safety process to prevent and eliminate incidents and illnesses at the facility.
  • Participate and review incident investigations and prevention efforts in accordance with the GSI Incident
    Investigation Program.
  • Act as an information resource to management by providing leadership for all aspects of the safety program.
  • Conduct and review safety evaluations of all areas of the facility for hazard prevention and control.
  • Ensure all required reports are accurate and completed as necessary.
  • Provide training and leadership for employees, in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Support and assist in coordination of positive safety awareness programs.

Essential skills

Education (Preferred)

  • A 4-year degree in Industrial Hygiene, Workplace Safety or equivalent.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MUST have a thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience required in workplace safety with proven record of achievement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Communicate in an effective, professional manner to facilitate teamwork.
